Climber in the Aiguilles Rouges

The past few days I’ve climbed some excellent alpine rock routes in the Aiguilles Rouge with nothing more than a 50m rope and a rack of quickdraws! This morning we didn’t start the “approach” (riding the Brevent cable car) until after 11am and still managed to climb 10 pitches of spectacular alpine rock.

My partner IFMGA/AMGA mountain guide Mark Puleio and I were blown away by the user friendly nature and truly excellent routes with absolutely breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc massif. I for one wish that there were routes like this in places like Crested Butte all it would take would be a little motivation and some hardware.

Interested in a experiencing the spectacular alpine rock program in the Chamonix Valley? Maybe you always wanted to climb rock in the high mountains but were deterred by the long approaches with heavy backpacks?  Drop me a line, you won’t be disappointed!
