I just got down from a great Mont Blanc summit trip and despite a relatively unfavorable weather forecast, once our team reached 3200m we were above the clouds and basking in the sunlight. A truly great ascent!

Anyone that dismisses a Mont Blanc ascent as simply a “walk up” hasn’t experienced the long summit day of over 1700m of ascent and the technical Aiguille du Gouter portion. Yes, it’s a long day but the climb to the summit at 4808m (15,774 ft) is worth every step.
